My best advice is variety. Change is key to your success and will
get you into that new dress or looking really good for your photo shoot.
Lack of variety will burn less calories, levels off strength gains and will set you up for injury. If you want strength, power endurance, speed, agility, stamina, or any other new skills that will make you look and feel great, you have to train for each one separately.
What you eat will affect you far more than the most versatile exercise. You are on the right track if you're thinking that variety in your diet is next on the list. To take advantage of all the nutrients that are beneficial to gain muscle, lose fat, avoid disease, and maintain mental health, one must eat from all food groups often. But that's another conversation.
